Deposits BRCC requires a deposit in order to confirm your reservation. Deposits are due within thirty days after you have made your reservation and are non-refundable. Your deposit is based upon the number of rooms or cottages reserved.
Refunds & Cancellation Policies If a group cancel prior to their deposit due date and has already paid their deposit, a refund of that amount minus a $10.00 reservation fee will be granted. Once the deposit due date has passed, deposits are non-refundable; however, groups that cancel with at least a sixty (60) notice from their arrival are given the opportunity to rebook reservations within the same calendar year, and the entire amount of the deposit reviewed by BRCC will be applied to that future invoice. Each group has the opportunity to drop rooms without penalty no less than 60 days prior to arrival; that date is stated in your reservation contract. After that date if the number of rooms dropped exceeds more than 10% of the total number of rooms reserved, there is a $50.00 penalty per each room dropped. Inclement Weather Policy: If the State Highway Patrol deems road conditions to be too dangerous for travel, we will work with groups to reschedule within a twelve month period. The entire amount of the deposit thus far received by BRCC will be applied to that future invoice. Or, if the group chooses to proceed with their retreat and arrive early the next day after road conditions have improved, the group would be charged only for the overnights and meals taken. Meeting Spaces: One meeting space is provided free of charge for overnight groups taking meals, with additional meeting or breakout spaces provided, if available (there may be a fee). Meeting spaces are assigned by our staff according to group size and program needs. Dining: Leonard Dining room, with its spectacular view of Grandfather Mountain and beautiful stone fireplace, is located in Corriher Lodge. We take pride in offering tasty home-style meals, served in a friendly atmosphere for groups of 20-250. Our meals are buffet style, although meals are not "all you can eat", additional helpings may be available after all the guests have been served. BRCC's capable and caring foodservice staff plans menus factoring in the types of groups being served, their dietary needs, and ways that can enhance the group's experience. Meal times are 8:00-8:45 for breakfast, noon to 12:45 for lunch and dinner is served from 6:30-7:15. We appreciate your promptness as it will affect the quality and quantity of your meals. If your group requires meal times other than those listed, arrangements must be made at least 10 days in advance. Please be advised that although we try to work with your schedule, we may not be able to fulfill your requests due to staff scheduling issues, logistics or other difficulties. During very busy times we may stagger or lengthen our serving schedule to avoid long waits in the serving line. The group leader is responsible for calling BRCC two weeks prior to the groups' arrival to notify us of the guaranteed number of people taking meals. Your invoice will be prepared using this number as the minimum number for meal charges. If you drop meals after this date you will be charged for them. Please notify us if you are skipping any meals for which you are scheduled. (You will still be charged for those meals if the deadline for your group number guarantee has passed). If any of your group members have special dietary needs, please let us know at least two weeks in advance. Please have those guests with special needs consult with our staff. Our meal service is provided for a minimum of 20 adults (13 years or older). During high use times such as weekends, there is rarely a need for concern about the lack of size in a group; however if your small group intends to stay with us midweek, please consult us for meal availability.
